Questions
What people ask first
What does a custom application cost?
It depends on what it has to do, but I always give a range on the first call. A simple business tool, say a booking form wired to your calendar and payments, starts around €6,000. A complete application with user accounts, a back office and a mobile app usually lands between €20,000 and €60,000. The price is written before work starts and does not move without your agreement.
Do you work on site in Nice?
Yes. I am based in Nice and travel to Monaco, Sophia Antipolis, Antibes and Cannes for scoping, workshops and go-lives. The rest is remote, with a weekly check-in and a demo at every stage.
How long does it take?
A working demo in one to three weeks, to validate the idea before committing the full budget. A first production version in six to twelve weeks for most projects. Dates are fixed together with the price.
Can you add AI to the software I already have?
It is one of the things I do most. An assistant that answers on your own data, a connector to query your database from Claude or ChatGPT, document generation, automatic triage of requests. I have put these in production with paying users, with cost per request under control and security designed in from the start.
I have no technical background. Is that a problem?
No, it is the normal case. You know your business and what the software has to do; the technical decisions are mine to make and to explain in plain language.
Who owns what you build?
You do. The code, the domain, the hosting accounts and documentation clear enough for another engineer to take over. I would rather keep you because the work is good than because leaving is painful.
Do you work alone or with an agency?
I am your single point of contact and I build the software myself. On larger projects I bring in a small network of freelancers I know, under my responsibility. You never deal with a salesperson.
